Indonesian government has release act that allow mining conducted in forest with money compensation. This act is really against anti global warming agreement. This act leads to deforestation as the mining companies will exploit the forest which is the last fortress of anti global warming. Last view months Indonesian government has signed agreement on anti global warming known Bali Road Map, unfortunately currently the government has released the act that against spirit of anti global warming. Does Indonesian government only care with huge capital companies and sacrifice the other very important things?
The compensation is very cheap, only maximum US$ 315 per hectare per year. This is very cheap than the effects will appear. It is very un-equal bet.
It seems that global warming spirit will be neglected. In future we will see and hear flood disaster more often occur in Indonesia as well as drought. We can not understand how long term benefit is sacrifice against short term benefit.
