Road Damage Hazard in Jakarta

Recently, we often hear traffic accident in Jakarta caused by damaged road. Currently mostly roads in Jakarta are damage. We can see a lot of hole on the road. In sunny day it is not so dangerous, although we must be careful when we pass by that road. This road is more dangerous during rainy day, as the hole is covered by water. So we can't see the hole. This condition is very very dangerous for motorcycle driver. More than 35 people has died due to this problem.

The road project which is not comply with the standard is the main cause of the decreased road life time. We can't blame the flood, as mostly the damaged roads are not located at flood prone area.

Until this day, we don't see any effort of authority to reduce this problem. We only can pass by the road with carefully and with worry. During rainy day, we should drive motorcycle slowly when the road is covered by water. Defense driving is best solution if we want survive on Jakarta road.

Earthquake at West Coast of Sumatra

Earthquake again.... earthquake again....
Perhaps almost everyday we hear news about earthquake in Indonesia. It is understood as everyday earthquake occurs on Indonesia. Indonsia is known laid on "Link of Fire". A condition that make earthquake and volcano eruption have high probability to occur in Indonesia.

Especially at Sumatra, there is subduction zone at offshore of Sumatra west coast and there is fault zone along Sumatra island from south to north, from lampung to aceh. That's why earthquake often happen at Sumatra.

Don't worry about earthquake. As long as we have good preparation to face earthquake, we will survive during earthquake everytime.
